Kilimanjaro region — a seedling going in.
Terms
The terms this site is offered under.
A donation is a gift
It is not a purchase and buys you nothing. You receive no goods, no service and no entitlement in return — which is what makes it a donation rather than a transaction.
Choosing a programme guides us, it does not bind us
When you pick a programme, your gift goes to that work. If it is already funded for the year, or circumstances change, we move it to the closest related work and say so in our reporting rather than holding it unspent.
The figures on this site are dated
Impact numbers carry the date they were measured and where they came from. Where a figure has no source on file yet, it says so beside the number instead of quietly reading as audited.
Photographs belong to the charity
The photographs on this site are ours or used with permission, and every one of a person is published with their consent or a guardian's. Please do not reuse them without asking.
Payments and mistakes
Donations are taken by PayPal Business. Card details are entered on PayPal’s systems and never reach this site. PayPal’s own terms apply to the payment itself.
Made a mistake? If you gave the wrong amount, gave twice, or meant to give to a different programme, write to info@zaratanzaniacharity.org within 14 days and we will refund or redirect it. We would rather return a gift than keep one somebody did not mean to make.
A receipt is emailed automatically when the payment completes, and PayPal sends its own separately. If neither arrives, tell us — that is a fault at our end, not yours.
Using this site
The site is provided as it is. We keep it accurate and available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and the programme pages describe work in progress rather than promises.
Links to our sister travel businesses and to partner organisations are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for what is on someone else’s site.
See also our privacy notice, safeguarding commitments and accessibility statement.
Still outstanding
Two things on this page need a lawyer rather than a writer, and are marked here rather than guessed at:
- The registration number. Not yet confirmed, so it is not printed anywhere on this site. Until it is, we do not describe ourselves as a registered charity in Registrar of NGOs, Tanzania's terms.
- Governing law. These terms have not been reviewed by a lawyer and no jurisdiction is asserted. Nothing here limits any right you have under the law that does apply to you.
