Skills, tools and capital for Maasai women building their own trade.
The problem
Women in pastoralist communities rarely control household income. Without their own earnings they have little say in whether a daughter stays in school.
What we do about it
Groups of women train together in beadwork, tailoring, poultry or retail, receive start-up stock and a small grant, and keep meeting as a savings group afterwards.
